At Art with Glass, our work has always been rooted in a deep respect for history and craftsmanship. For years, we have dedicated ourselves to the conservation and restoration of original stained glass—an inherently sustainable practice that breathes new life into existing materials and preserves our architectural heritage.

As we look to the future, we recognize that creating new glass projects requires us to also be mindful of our environmental impact. Glass production is inherently carbon heavy and whilst this carbon impact is upstream from us we do not ignore it’s existance. 

Our Carbon Footprint
We recently completed a comprehensive audit of our annual carbon usage to establish a clear understanding of our impact. This audit included our studio operations, vehicle emissions, and the embodied carbon cost of imported materials.

Current Annual Footprint: 17–18 tonnes of Co2 emissions .

What can we do to improve? 

We have invested in solar panels on our workshop and they are producing well. 
We are careful to group our deliveries to reduce excess use of milage.
The workshop is fitted with efficient heating and heat recovery systems.

Carbon offsetting
In December 2025 we donated to 2 different carbon action programs with carbonfootprint.com. One tasked with tree planning in the UK that will provide 20 tonnes of carbon capture;  another to avoid 20 tonnes of carbon usage in developing nations by providing cleaner cooking fuels and access to clean water.
